Waco Tribune: McLane Stadium, Baylor Club Becoming an Events & Business Hub

August 26, 2015

Nearly a year after Baylor University’s McLane Stadium first opened its doors, the stadium “has been deemed an off-season success as a private club, regional corporate meet-up space and venue for weddings and community events.” The Waco Tribune outlined The Baylor Waco Stadium Authority’s success in turning the stadium into a 365-day a year destination. The stadium is on track to host nearly 1,000 events, both big and small, in 2015. The events have ranged from weddings, meetings, conferences, a monster truck rally, concerts, a rib fest and the city’s fireworks celebration for Independence Day. Baylor Club, the stadium’s unique year-round members club that has a lounge, bar and grill, patio, formal ballroom and more, has brought in $2.4 million in 2015 already, exceeding projected expectations by nearly double. The Club also has 1,694 members, 33% more than projected.
