Adrian Vellinga

As an event manager, Adrian is responsible for coordinating, designing and managing large-scale sporting events. During her time at Populous, she has helped plan events such as the NFL International Series, NFL Super Bowl, Major Series of Putting, and the design management team for the 2016 Rio Olympics. Holding a bachelor’s degree in interior design from Brigham Young University, Adrian has a broad depth of Olympic experience working directly within Olympic Organizing Committees in design and site management roles. In addition to working for the Rio 2016 Olympic games, she has also worked for the Salt Lake City 2002 and Vancouver 2010 Winter Olympics. Her roles have included venue design development, publication management and production, project management, commodity specification and seating tracking and oversight.

Adrian frequently interacts with representatives from the International Olympic & Paralympic Committees, numerous sports federations and organizations, hospitality and corporate owners on project requirements for past Olympic and architecture projects. Adrian has spent the 11 years between, and prior to, her Olympic-work focused on general architectural projects in the Western U.S. and Brazil in the sports, hospitality, hotel, resort, religious, corporate and retail industries.
