Andrew Elmer

  • Campus Planner / Senior Associate
  • Kansas City

Andrews brings an astute eye for the student-athlete experience as well as an experienced planner’s intuition to his duties as a market leader in Populous’ collegiate group. His experience spans a diverse set of project types including master planning, urban design, training facilities, multi-sport complexes, stadiums and ballparks.

The variety of professional experience has served him and his clients well in his career, but the origins of his approach and success can be traced back to the turf of Ohio Stadium. That’s where he practiced and performed as a varsity lacrosse student-athlete at The Ohio State University. A three-time Academic All-Big Ten honoree during his career in Columbus, Andrew brings the same passion to his projects as he did his athletic and academic performance.

The unique experience set can be seen in a breadth of disciplines, from programming and design all the way to construction. In the end, it allows him to step into the shoes of student-athletes, coaches and administrative staff to understand and help solve the challenges facing elite programs.

Andrew currently manages Syracuse University’s West Campus District project, a $350-million multiple-facility development blending student life, recreational athletics, revenue-generating premium amenities and academic space into the pre-existing campus fabric.
