Belinda Goh

Senior Principal, Senior Architect / Sydney

Belinda has a particular interest in the creation of quality architecture that is responsive to the human experience and yet is challenged by all parameters the building environment presents.

She joined the Australian office of Populous (then HOK sport architecture) in April 2000, working on the post-Olympic AFL conversion of ANZ Stadium (previously Stadium Australia).

In October 2000, Belinda was transferred to the London Office where she established a clear role as a project manager. Belinda’s experience with the major sports facility of Stadium Australia has involved working as part of a close-knit team to produce quality design and documentation which is unique in its content, as a dynamic form of Stadium Architecture.

After relocating to the London office, Belinda became Project Architect on the redevelopment of the North Stand at Ipswich Town FC. In more recent years, Belinda was Project Architect on the 60,000 seat Emirates Stadium for Arsenal FC, on which she led and managed a team of architects to deliver the project which opened in 2006 to great critical acclaim on time and within budget.

During 2009 and 2010 Belinda worked on the detailed design of the veent overlay for all the Off Park Venues both temporary and permanent for the London 2012 Olympic Games. In her role on this project, she has led and managed a team of architects to deliver the project design liaising with all of the Client representatives as well as the key functional area client requirements within the London Organising Committee.

During 2011, Belinda worked and advised on the Commonwealth Games Bid overlay documentation for Hambantota in Sri Lanka for 2018 which was submitted in May 2011.

Following this, during 2011, Belinda managed the Populous team during the first phase of the design competition for a new 10,000 seat sport arena in Orleans near Paris, and in the design and delivery of the Concept Sport Facility Master Plan for Singapore including the new Sport City in Kallang.

In 2012, Belinda returned to Australia and is now Project Team Leader for the new Sydney Convention Exhibition and Entertainment Precinct at Darling Harbour.
