Edward is a fully qualified Project Architect with excellent design skills and a strong sense of initiative, as well as experience in managing multidisciplinary teams, acting as lead designer and delivering high value projects.

After he gained his qualifications at the Manchester School of Architecture he furthered his career working for various design-lead architectural practices in Manchester, before moving to London to work for Populous.

Edward’s previous experience has been as a Senior Architect managing a number of Olympic Legacy sports and leisure projects, which have included new swimming pools, sports halls and community facilities. He also has experience in the commercial, residential, healthcare and education sectors.

In 2012 Edward worked on the new Manchester City Football Academy training development within a 200-acre site adjacent to Etihad Stadium. This included; the Central Training Facility, comprising of first team and youth academy training facilities and accommodation; the North West Development, comprising of a 7000-seat stadium, new headquarters and media facilities, pedestrian bridge and public plaza with all necessary supporting administration, media and maintenance facilities.

Since joining Populous Edward has been involved in the coordination of the M&E design for the Olympic Stadium Transformation project. During the design development he has worked on various elements of the detail design including the new gravity suspended cable net roof, the west stand hospitality extension and the external cladding.

Edward is currently part of the team for Bristol Arena, due to complete in 2018.
