Elizabeth Miglierina

  • Architectural Assistant
  • London

Born in Canada, Elizabeth received her Bachelor and Master degrees in Architecture from the University of Montreal. During her architecture studies, Elizabeth also attended the BAU Design College of Barcelona and worked in Paris where she collaborated on design competition projects including a Cultural Centre, Schools, Theatre and Archive centre.

Elizabeth has been a competitive alpine skier for over 18 years. She believes that just as skiers have to merge with the mountain and adapt to the weather, the light, the topography and their surroundings; architects also need to design in harmony with the environment. For her, architecture should evoke real interactions between people and nature and their surroundings which should highlights the value of landscape and cities.

Before joining Populous, Elizabeth worked in Shanghai where she was involved in large scale design projects as well as master planning and where she also conducted research for the development of her thesis.

Elizabeth was heavily involved in the design and construction of the new 60,000 seat stadium for the Olympique Lyonnais football club, which was used during the recent Euro 2016 Championships in France and the new, state-of-the-art Olympique Lyonnais Training Centre. She was responsible for numerous packages, supervising the design, scoping and detailing of each package, overseeing the specifications as well as coordinating contractor and consultant drawings. Her ability to liaise confidently with the French consultants allowed her to resolve issues quickly and efficiently.

Elizabeth worked on numerous stadium projects in the Middle East and has also been involved in the conception and planning submittal of an arena in Turkey which is due to start on site imminently.

Elizabeth is currently leading the design of the Southern Development of the Tottenham Hotspur project, including the Tottenham Experience building and the integration of a grade II listed building. From planning to construction, she is supervising and coordinating the design development, collaborating with the client, consultants and contractors.
