“It was a long journey to Jalak Harupat Stadium to watch the two strongest teams in the Indonesia Premier League. All the way from city centre, Bandung, to the stadium was flooded with fans wearing the blue jersey of the home team. It was raining but the game was on. Fans filled the entire stadium and its surrounds. The final whistle was eventually blown, signifying the victory of the home team. Thousands of people erupted into cheer, chanting their team’s anthem. It is moments like this that show you sport really unites people.”
