Marc was born in Germany and completed his Diploma in Architecture, before moving to Sci-Arc in California to undertake a Masters of Architecture degree. He then established his own practice in Germany, before moving over to the UK to join Populous in 2005.

Marc has gained a wide variety of sports experience during his time at Populous. He currently has a senior role in the Olympic Stadium Transformation Team. Previously he had a senior project management role within the London 2012 Overlay team, where he was responsible for coordinating and managing all of the various Overlay projects. This has given him a wonderful insight into the design and technical challenges involved in staging a major event.

As Project Architect for the redevelopment of the Southern Courts of Wimbledon he was the responsible architect for the design of the new Court 2 and Court 3 and the new layout of the southern courts and ancillary buildings.

Prior to his work on Wimbledon, Marc was a key member of the Aviva Stadium design team, developing a number of Training and Administration buildings around the main Stadium. This built on the experience he had gained working on the Administration Building for Arsenal Football Club, as part of the Emirates Stadium redevelopment.
