Phoebe Xi Hu

Phoebe joined Populous in 2014 and has worked on a number of projects involving the integration of landscape design into sports and entertainment architecture, both in the UK and overseas. As a result she has gained a good understanding of designing this unique type of public realm, while ensuring that the landscape provides an attractive environment for people to use on non-match days.

Phoebe completed her Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture and Landscape Architecture at the South China University of Technology and is currently studying for her Master’s Degree in Urban Design at Bartlett School of Architecture in London. She is particularly interested in the study of typology, recognising the city, architecture, and landscape as a collective form, shaped by cultural, social, political and economic factors. Her academic work has been acknowledged by many institutions and corporations, including the IFLA and UN Habitat.

Phoebe is currently working on a high-profile UK football stadium project in an inner city environment. Other Projects she has worked on include Bristol Area, Kuala Lumpur Sports City, and QPR training centre.
