We are seeing a lot of cutting edge technologies weaving into the forefront of the sport venue business. Augmented reality is an interesting frontier which continues to provoke ones imagination as to the application into the live experience we embellish. It is intriguing to consider the possibilites that the athletes can ultimately be registries of anatomical information directly linked to the inertia exerted on the field. This information can be monitored and communicated instantly back to spectators or the broadcast medium. I don’t think this concept is too far off, this information when made available will revolutionlize sports as we experience it today, certainly a game changer for the built environment.
