Plans for the Milwaukee Bucks new arena have taken another important step forward. Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker has proposed a funding plan for the new 17,000 seat arena, which includes a surrounding entertainment district. The proposed funding of the $500 million arena includes $250 million contributed by Bucks’ current and former owners; the other $250 million will come from taxpayers.
Designs for the new arena and surrounding district were unveiled last month. Designed by Populous with HNTB and Eppstein Uhen, the team also released a video at the same time, highlighting the ripple effect of the new district and impact on downtown Milwaukee and the region.
