Milwaukee Bucks Unveil New Arena Design

April 8, 2015

The Milwaukee Bucks in a press conference today unveiled preliminary designs for the team’s new downtown arena. The design team, led by Populous and including HNTB and Eppstein Uhen, showed images depicting a new multi-purpose venue that will anchor a new development vision activated by sports, entertainment, residential and office uses. The arena design evokes Wisconsin’s natural beauty and Milwaukee’s rich heritage of industry and craftsmen, with an expressive structure, transparency and fluid forms inspired by the rivers, lakes and forests of the region. Wisconsin’s new home will be the beginning of a ripple effect, with an impact that extends far beyond its walls to the riverfront and downtown, from Bronzeville to Madison, becoming a place people love to be together. Brad Clark, Populous Senior Principal and design principal for the project was on hand to unveil the design. Read more about the new arena design and use #SeeTheFuture to join the conversation.
