Populous teams up with Jump Studios

Populous, the world-leading sport and entertainment architecture and design practice, is pleased to announce its merger with Jump Studios, an award-winning architecture and interior design practice based in London.

The strategic partnership will see Populous and Jump Studios continue to operate as separate practices, joining forces where new projects and existing clients will derive benefit from a broader spectrum of creative disciplines.

A shared belief in the power of design to elevate everyday experiences, creating places where people love to be together, has been the catalyst for the union of the two companies. Together they will combine their respective strengths and expertise to deliver a superior range of design solutions to an impressive client list of global brands and rights holders.

With more than three decades and 2,000 projects under its belt, Populous’ portfolio comprises over 90 global events including 10 Olympic Games and spectacles such as the NFL Super Bowl. Venues designed by Populous around the world have become household names including Wembley, Yankee and the 2012 London Olympic stadiums, along with world-class entertainment venues like Philippine Arena, Darling Harbour Live and the O2 Arena in London.

Its global team of 500 staff combines architecture, masterplanning and urban design, event design and planning, and brand activation to provide an unrivalled offer to the sports and entertainment sectors from offices in London, Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne, Hong Kong, Singapore, Auckland, Boston, Knoxville, Norman, Denver, San Francisco and Kansas City.

The merger with Populous will enable Jump Studios to extend both the geographical reach and scale of the projects it targets, finding new and creative ways for brands and clients to connect with their audiences. Its expansion will continue to be led by its two founding principals, Simon Jordan and Shaun Fernandes.

Jump Studios was established in 2001 and is recognised for its award-winning work in high-concept interiors, installations and architectural design. Encompassing retail, workspace, exhibition, brand experience, pop-up, restaurant and bar design, Jump Studios have established an impressive client list including Google, Nike, Rapha, Levi Strauss, Mother, Red Bull, Publicis, Innocent Smoothies, Yahoo!, Saatchi & Saatchi, The Ministry of Sound, Bloomberg, Starwood Hotels and FIAT. Jump Studios was named Interior Architect of the Year by Building Design in 2013.
