Grant Chapman

Architectural Graduate / Brisbane

Grant completed a Bachelor of Design with Honours at Queensland University of Technology, and was admitted to the Dean’s list for Academic Excellence in both 2009 and 2012. He was awarded both the Melissa Meganazzo Prize for Positive Development by the Green Building Council of Australia, and the National Architecture Award by the Royal Australian Institute of Architects as an undergraduate.

Grant went on to complete a Master of Architecture Design at QUT, completing these studies with his project awarded as a finalist in the YAC International Design Competition.

Prior to completing his tertiary qualifications, Grant was a Qualified Building Practitioner for 13 years with experience across commercial, residential and civil projects throughout Australia. As a construction professional, his projects have been acknowledged as attaining construction excellence through Master Builders Association and the Australian Institute of Architects awards systems.

Grant joined the Populous team in Brisbane and is currently undertaking architecture registration through the Board of Architects QLD. His extensive experience and academic achievements allow Grant to practice his understanding of both human-centric design, best-practice design and construction, and team collaboration.

Grant believes that architecture embodies life and provides the settings for the celebration of our rituals, our festivals and our communities.
