Matt Reynolds

Matt joined Populous in 2000 and is currently working on the $1B Darling Harbour Live project in Sydney as team leader on the new Sydney Entertainment Centre. Previously he has gained experience in several Populous offices including London, Kansas City and Brisbane as well as on site project work in Kuala Lumpur.

Matt was part of the team on Suncorp Stadium, and led the external work including the major North and South plazas and the link bridge across Milton Road. He was also Design Team leader on the Nanjing Stadium for the Nanjing Sports Park, and worked on the Beijing Olympic Stadium competition entry.

Matt also worked on the Telstra Connected Lounge at ANZ Stadium – an imaginative and totally immersive game day experience for fans to attending a live sporting event.

Matt is particularly interested in creating multi-functional spaces through the inventive interpretation of materials and program.

In 2011 Matt was invited to be a member on the inaugural Designex Advisory Panel, a role he still holds. More recently he joined the DARCH Committee, providing professional feedback to recent graduates.

Most recently Matt and colleague Andrew Noonan won the Populous Fellowship providing them with the opportunity to conduct global research on the future of Live Music Venues completing their tour of North American Live Music Venues in late 2014.
