Populous Assists with Planning of MLB All-Star Game

For sixteen years, Populous has been involved with assisting Major League Baseball with planning, operations, overlay and logistics involved with the annual All-Star Game. This year’s game is scheduled for Tuesday, July 14th at Great American Ball Park, and will be the culmination of five days of events, including the All-Star Fan Fast, an All-Star legends and celebrity softball game, All Star Workout Day and Home Run Derby. Populous has worked closely with MLB to connect these auxiliary events to the ballpark, where necessary, and assisted in incorporating sponsors, appropriate signage and way finding and other temporary facilities that allow for a better fan and operational experience. Populous also designed Great American Ball Park, home of the Cincinnati Reds, which opened in 2003. The MLB All Star Game has been hosted in a Populous-designed venue for 12 of the last 13 years, and will be hosted in three Populous-designed ballparks through 2018 – Petco Park, Marlins Park and Nationals Park.
