Geoff Cheong is an arena visionary with the technical expertise to match, resulting in designs for the next generation of multipurpose entertainment venues. His diverse portfolio features the homes of some of the most recognizable names in sports and entertainment, including the NHL, NFL, MLB, MLS and live events.

Geoff was the lead designer for Climate Pledge Arena, a benchmark venue set to be the first net-zero carbon arena in the world. The industry-first dual suspended scoreboards are a hallmark feature of Climate Pledge Arena, and just one of the many examples of Geoff’s dynamic approach to designing for an ever-evolving fan experience.

He also played significant roles on projects including T-Mobile Arena (Las Vegas), LoanDepot Park (Miami) and Centre Videotron (Quebec City), as well as event overlay work with the NFL Super Bowl and NHL Outdoor Games.

Geoff’s innovative design approach led to him being named to Sports Business Journal’s Forty Under 40 Class of 2022 and to the 2022 Class of Engineering News-Record Midwest’s Top 20 under 40. These awards recognize accomplished individuals who have made significant impact within the sports industry.

A husband, father of two and native of Vancouver, Canada, Geoff expresses his enthusiasm for sports both in and out of the office. He is especially passionate about ice hockey and continues to lace up his skates every week as a member of the Kansas City men’s hockey community.
