Heather Stewart

Heather Stewart is a leader in sustainable design solutions for public assembly venues. Her design process puts sustainability at the forefront as she guides numerous sports and venue projects through LEED certification and far beyond.

Heather currently leads the concert venue design at an entertainment district in Anaheim, California, called ocV!BE, building off her experience working on the renovation at Honda Center. She also contributed to the design, documentation and delivery of Fiserv Forum, which features a façade specific to decreasing bird collisions.

Heather is co-chair of EcoPop, Populous’ internal sustainability leadership group that works to incorporate practices of sustainability and climate justice into the firm’s culture. Heather has also served as local co-chair of USBGC Green Schools Advocacy committee and was a recipient of Populous’ Fellowship for the development of sustainable event criteria for publication and integration into event design worldwide.

Heather provides integrated design knowledge spanning from design and detailing to coordination and construction. She excels at teamwork, collaborating to produce thoughtful and aesthetically pleasing designs. She is equally passionate about sharing her knowledge of architecture and sustainability, frequently mentoring others and speaking at master classes.
