MLB at Field of Dreams

Populous steered the master plan of the event to bring the MLB vision to life, connecting the original filming location and the new regulation field through a full design process, providing the feasibility study, design of the ballpark and supporting structures, in addition to the event and transportation services.
Our meticulous planning accounted for broadcasting and press operations, sponsorship, transport, security and ceremonies. The team also implemented comprehensive signage plans for wayfinding, as well as the overlay plans. We provided in-game and on-site operations staff to make sure the event ran smoothly, as we have for other large-scale events, like the Olympic and Paralympic Games, Super Bowl and the NCAA men’s basketball tournament.
MLB at Field of Dreams was the most-watched regular season MLB game in 16 years, attracting 5.9 million viewers, while BaseballParks.com and USA Today Sports both named it the 2021 Ballpark of the Year.
