Chris Isenhower
Throughout his architectural career, Chris Isenhower has developed an innate understanding of the design process from start to finish, expertise that ensures each project — whether an elite training facility or logistics for global sporting events like the Super Bowl — reflects functional excellence and solution-centric innovation.
Chris has extensive experience managing some of Populous’ largest and most complex collegiate stadium projects with a demonstrated track record of successfully guiding large, multidisciplinary teams. His goal on every project: to create exceptional spaces for student-athletes, coaches and fans. On projects including the renovation of Doak S. Campbell Stadium and construction of the Dunlap Football Center — key parts of a strategic, multi-year update at Florida State University — Chris balances design with project management, ensuring these projects stay on schedule and budget, especially important with inflexible timetables driven by sports seasons. As a result, Chris has a well-earned reputation as a trusted leader among colleagues and clients.
Just as important to Chris as design: sustainability. Chris holds a LEED AP BD+C credential, which he uses to envision holistic design that integrates environmentally responsible practices into every project. The result: facilities that work as hard for the environment as they do for the student-athletes or fans who use them.
Since joining Populous, Chris balances project work with a commitment to cultivating young leadership. Previously co-chair of the Populous New Graduate Committee and Americas Internship Program, Chris is now helping to spearhead initiatives within Populous to develop emerging talent with opportunities to grow their leadership skills and assume greater responsibility as part of their professional advancement journey. To Chris, supporting the next generation of Populous leaders is a key part of fostering greater collaboration across the broader architectural community.
