Transformation: Celebrating British Design and Engineering at the V&A

July 25, 2016

Populous are proud to be contributing to the Mind over Matter: Contemporary British Engineering display at the prestigious Victoria and Albert Museum in South Kensington, London in 2016.

As part of the V&A Engineering Season, a series of international projects by British firms are showcased in the free display in the V&A + RIBA Architecture Gallery, open to the public until 6th November.

Populous’ model of the London Olympic Stadium and Transformation is exhibited on the mezzanine to the Gallery, and forms an important part of the unique story behind the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, told together with BuroHappold Engineering. Along with the model, the display shows – through a series of site photographs, sketches and venue renders – the complete environmental, economic and social transformation of the Stadium and Park in Stratford, East London.

Mind over Matter: Contemporary British Engineering is presented by the V&A + RIBA Architecture Partnership and supported by the Royal Commission for the Exhibition of 1851.
