It is the focal point of the transformation of Denver’s National Western Center, acting as a year-round destination for agriculture and events, and an everyday piece of community life.
With the capacity to accommodate a full spectrum of large format events, the Livestock Center spans over 350,000 feet and combines expansive livestock and exhibition halls with multiple flexible gathering spaces. The adaptability baked into the design allows the space to support everything from auction and stock shows to concerts, festivals, conventions and community events. Strong physical and visual connections to the plaza further integrate indoor and outdoor programming, creating a unified campus experience.
The CoBank Arena is the centerpiece of the Livestock Center and provides the primary platform for major events. Informed by Populous’ global expertise in equestrian and live entertainment venues, the arena has the technical capacity required to host concerts, rodeos, sporting events and large-scale productions without ever losing the quality that makes those experiences so electric. With approximately 3,000 fixed seats and multiple configurations, it is designed to scale fluidly across event types.
Guided by a performance-first mindset, the Livestock Center balances front- and back-of-house systems to support both public engagement and specialized livestock operations. The design brings together the heritage of the American West with contemporary event infrastructure, creating a resilient, year-round destination. In doing so, it carries forward the spirit of the Stock Show—ensuring the stories, traditions and communities it represents continue to evolve for generations to come.
