Huw Rennie

Since joining Populous in 2003, Huw has worked on numerous sports and entertainment venue projects, focused on the design of seating bowls, customer journeys, user experience and back of house operations.

Now specialising exclusively in arenas, he leads a team of dedicated venue designers, covering all aspects of experiential and operational design for both sports and music-focused arenas. This includes development of new seating bowl typologies, tailored specifically for the needs of the modern arena events programme, all prioritising the fan and artist experience while maintaining operational efficiency and cost effectiveness

Huw works closely with Jump Studios from the early stage of projects, whether new build or refurbishments, to integrate and successfully deliver new interior concepts for hospitality and GA facilities into the architectural design.

Additionally, Huw sits on the Populous Technical Review Committee – reviewing all projects based on regulation and code compliance, user experience, space planning, buildability & sustainability.
