Richard completed a Bachelor of Design Studies and Bachelor of Architecture with Honours and since has over 35 years professional experience in the field as a registered architect.
Richard’s extensive experience spans large-scale residential, commercial, mixed-use, healthcare, retail and hospitality projects. His fine eye for details, and passion for clean and simple architectural outcomes and innovative building systems lead Richard to become a highly valued leader in the Populous Brisbane team.
His diverse skill set offers high-quality technical support on specific documentation packages, such as waterproofing systems and precinct facades.
Richard has taken part in a variety of pro-bono projects, including the development of a façade panel and system for solar energy redistribution to balance thermal loads in curtain walls, and creation of Grid Shell structures through physical hanging chain models.
