JetBlue Park at Fenway South

Fort Myers, United States
Spring training is a blank slate — it’s a place for new beginnings, fresh starts and optimism. When the storied Boston Red Sox looked to create their new home in Florida, we faced the ultimate challenge of blending one of the most storied brands in baseball with the relaxed, sunny vibe of Southwest Florida.

Red Sox baseball in Southwest Florida wouldn’t be complete without the Green Monster, which finds its rightful place just beyond JetBlue Park’s left field. The ballpark also features the Floridian version of Fenway’s manual scoreboard and Yawkey Way, a vibrant street festival scene to create excitement before and after the game. The ball club’s history comes to life in various nodes along the perimeter walkway, open throughout the year.

The highlight of the ballpark’s exterior is an undulating roof, representing the energy and movement of a grove of cypress trees.

Being here at JetBlue Park allows us to be at one site altogether which is such a competitive advantage … I think that really played a huge role in the fact that we won the World Series after such a short time of being at JetBlue.

Katie Haas

Boston Red Sox Florida Business Operations Director

But what makes the Red Sox’s spring training home uniquely Florida? Clean lines, colors and materials are highlighted by an iconic shade canopy inspired by the Cypress tree domes surrounding the site. The exterior’s light colors — detailed with Florida sea shell aggregate — contrast the deep shadows of the Florida sun.

In a place where history collides with aspirations each spring, JetBlue Park has given current and future generations of Red Sox players and fans a new point of pride. Bringing the ball club’s operations together at one site created new efficiencies and camaraderie among staff and players. One season after moving in to JetBlue Park, the Boston Red Sox were crowned World Series Champions.
