Sherri Privitera’s more than 20 years of experience have been dedicated to collegiate sports projects in the sports architecture industry. Sherri has impacted more than 50 universities through her involvement in more than 65 projects over the years, which qualifies her as one of the leading women architects in sport facility. She graduated with her Bachelors and Masters in architecture from the University of Nebraska. Sherri currently is a Principal and Project Manager at Populous, serving as the project manager and overseeing collegiate projects including the new $266 million McLane Stadium at Baylor University, which opened in August 2014. Additional experience includes work on TCF Bank Stadium, Georgetown’s Intercollegiate Athletic Center and Boise State University’s football training facility. Prior to joining Populous, she worked with sports architecture firms in Kansas City and Los Angeles.

Sherri has become a trusted advisor to athletic departments and university administrators, impacting the growth of facilities on campuses across the country. Her resume includes work with 12 conferences and more than 50 Division I universities, including 22 schools within the Power 5 Conferences. This list of clients contributes to planning facilities of NCAA Division I sports projects with a construction value exceeding $4.3 Billion since 2006 alone. Her responsibilities include developing and maintaining relationships with athletic directors, athletic administrators, coaches and senior university personnel while leading the design team and consultants. Sherri understands the business of collegiate athletics with an emphasis on revenue generation, aiding clients in making strategic decisions that positively impact their bottom line. Her hard work, dedication and positive attitude have positioned her as an influential professional within the firm and the industry. In turn, Sherri has been a featured presenter at the National Association of Collegiate Woman Athletics Administrator’s (NACWAA) national convention and the NACWAA/NCAA Leadership Enhancement Institute, discussing topics including building consensus and athletic facility development. In 2012, Sherri was selected as one of Building Design + Construction’s 40 Under 40.
