Populous’ Jonathan Mallie Named a 2026 VenuesNow All-Star

Jonathan Mallie, Global Director and Managing Director of the Americas at Populous, has been named a VenuesNow 2026 All-Star, an annual list that honors those in the live events and venue management industry, celebrating their leadership, innovation, and impact on the global live entertainment environment.

The VenuesNow 2026 All-Stars bring together leaders from across the live entertainment industry, from professional sports and venue operations to hospitality, programming, entertainment and design. Mallie’s inclusion recognizes the impact of design within that broader ecosystem and its role in creating meaningful live experiences.

Throughout his career, Mallie has focused on how design can elevate the live sports and entertainment experience. His approach considers every stage of the fan journey, from arrival and tailgating to hospitality, premium spaces and technology, with each touchpoint offering an opportunity to enhance the overall fan experience through design.

As demand for authentic, in-person experiences continues to grow, Mallie has helped advance an approach to venue design that responds to how fans experience place as a whole. That perspective has guided Mallie’s approach to sports and entertainment design, considering how each element of a venue can contribute to a more meaningful fan experience.

Most recently, Mallie’s design impact was experienced with the debut of the Buffalo Bills’ new Highmark Stadium, which opened its doors to fans in September. His leadership is also reflected in Populous’ work on the new arena in Philadelphia for the 76ers, Flyers, and the city’s future WNBA team, continuing his influence on the next generation of sports and entertainment destinations.

Mallie joins a number of Populous leaders previously recognized as VenuesNow All-Stars, including Adam Stover in 2025, Scott Capstack in 2023, Todd Barnes in 2021, Sherri Privitera in 2020 and Kurt Amundsen in 2019.
