Tampa Bay Rays Release Interior Renderings for New Ballpark Designed by Populous

The Tampa Bay Rays released interior renderings of its new ballpark, designed by Populous, showcasing innovative design elements that will redefine the fan experience in Tampa Bay for future generations.

Designed with key elements specific to Rays fans, the renderings feature a seating bowl that will offer exceptional proximity to the field from every location in the ballpark, a glimpse of dynamic club spaces, spectacular sky views for fans to enjoy from around the ballpark, a bar overlooking center field and two video scoreboards that will be among the largest and most technologically advanced in Major League Baseball.

The primary plaza entrance will be positioned at center field, creating an iconic gateway into the ballpark. The renderings also showcase the return of a fan-favorite, the team’s beloved Ray Tank – an aquarium that will serve as home to a host of rays.

The approximately 30,000 fixed seat capacity can expand, ensuring flexibility for concerts, conventions and other major events. The design prioritizes playability and the natural outdoor experience, with outfield dimensions and other game- and player-related items currently under review.

Design elements of the ballpark and related considerations will continue to evolve as the Rays work with elected officials and staff from the City of Tampa and Hillsborough County toward a funding agreement.
