David Hodge has over 20 years of experience delivering transformative master plans and sports, civic, transportation and mixed-use developments across the globe. His diverse experience, including projects in the United States, United Kingdom, United Arab Emirates, Australia, Spain, Italy, Qatar and China, continues to influence his unique design approach and perspective.
David’s engaging and communicative work approach underscores his expertise in creating sustainable stadia and training facilities that reflect a client’s brand, culture and ambitions. Proficient in all phases of a project, David has provided design, technical and project management services from the feasibility stage through to the completion of each facility he has worked on. David is invested in gaining a thorough understanding of client needs at the outset of a project and establishing the full contextual and cultural meaning of a site to ensure that his projects strengthen organizations’ engagement with their community and succeed commercially.
Prior to joining Populous, David worked on stadia and training facilities for Manchester City Football Club, New York City Football Club, Girona Football Club, Yokohama Marinos, Al Jazira Football Club, Stony Brook University and more. David has also designed large-scale projects including the Rockefeller University Campus Expansion in New York; the New Florence International Airport in Florence, Italy; Howard Hughes Medical Institute’s Janelia Research Campus in Virginia; and the MGM Grand Complex in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.
