Lize Laurant

Lize completed a Bachelor’s of Science degree, Honours and Masters in Interior Architecture before gaining widespread, valuable experience working on all project typologies across 4 different continents. Prior to joining Populous, she has gained a wealth of knowledge completing many phases of interior design projects, from finishes selection, furniture, fixtures and equipment procurement, project coordination, supplier and consultant liaison. Lize’s experience includes the completion of interior design packages from concept to install on a range of projects from hospitality to high-end residential.

Since joining the Populous team in Brisbane, Lize has expanded her variety of design projects with sports and entertainment venues added to her portfolio. Lize is proficient in a range of design software and actively uses Revit, Photoshop and InDesign.

Lize has a keen interest in how buildings impact human health from both a physical and emotional point of view. Having also worked in production design in the film industry – she believes experiential design can and should influence our emotions in a positive way. Her passion has also lead Lize to be part of Non-for-Profit projects, such as the interior design for philanthropic organisation, Osisa (Open Society Initiative for Southern Africa) in Johannesburg.
