BIM Manager | Asia Pacific / Sydney
Nathan joined Populous in 2011 and is based in our Sydney studio, after transferring from Brisbane to oversee design and construction on the ICC Exhibition centre.
He has worked exensively on many projects in Populous, both in architecture and BIM management positions. These roles have included all aspects of architecture – from conceptual design, services, structural and spatial coordination, visualisation, and all areas of BIM management. These positions have been on a diverse range of projects both in Australia and oversees. Nathan was lead service coordinator and coordinated on-site architectural construction for the ICC Exhibition Centre in Sydney.
Nathan is currently our Asia Pacific BIM manager, overseeing our Australian, Indian, Chinese and Singaporean offices and representing these regions on Populous’s Global BIM Strategy Commitee. This commitee has representatives from the USA and Europe, and meets yearly to ensure our Populous BIM systems and protocols are conistsently reviewed and audited to stay ahead of industry standards on a global level.
Nathan has a passion for architecture and design, with a particular focus on technological innovations within the AEC industry.
Being able to draw from a strong background in architecture, project delivery and BIM, Nathan has extensive expertise on the advantages and systems BIM can offer projects.
Nathan is continually developing internal Populous BIM and architecture protocols to reflect experience gained from the projects we work on in the Asia Pacific Region. This includes training, quality assurance, auditing, research and development.
He is also regularly involved on projects with the base build architecture teams to coordinate project systems, documentation deliverables and on-site coordination.
