Populous’ Sherri Privitera Honored as All-Star by VenuesNow Magazine

Global design firm Populous announced today that Sherri Privitera, senior principal at the firm, has been named a 2020 VenuesNow All-Star.

This honor recognizes 50 top executives in sports, live entertainment and venues who have made their mark in the industry and will continue to shape it in the coming years, as determined by VenuesNow’s editorial team. In addition to being recognized for leadership in the industry, financial success, and a demonstrated commitment to excellence, winning submissions were selected based on the extraordinary circumstances created this year by the coronavirus pandemic. Venue designers have collectively risen to meet its challenges while those who made extraordinary contributions rose to the top.

Sherri Privitera is a senior principal and Americas Regional Board member at Populous with 24 years of experience focusing primarily on developing collegiate sports facilities. Known as a collaborator, she motivates her teams to creatively solve problems, be a team player and have fun along the way. Her hard work, dedication and positive attitude have positioned her as an influential professional within the firm and in the industry.  Sherri’s thought leadership contributed to the ideation to assist clients through unprecedented times in 2020 including the formation of experts collaborating to have a larger impact within the professional and collegiate markets. Serving as the Principal-in-Charge, she is currently involved with projects at Texas, Purdue, UTSA, Baylor and UNL.

She holds a Bachelor of Science in Architectural Studies and a Master of Architecture from the University of Nebraska. Privitera has previously been recognized by several entities including the Sports Business Journal 2015 Business Game Changer: Women in Sports Business and 2016 Sports Business Power Player.
