“When I was 10, a neighbour gave me his unwanted season tickets to the Brisbane Lions. The club had never tasted AFL premiership success before later that year going on to win its first of three successive premierships… I will never forget heading along to the games week in, week out with Dad and been truly enthralled by the way stadia are capable of creating everlasting individual experiences, bringing together communities and also informing and enhancing the built environment of an entire city.”

Nick studied for a Bachelor of Design at the Queensland University of Technology (QUT) in Australia. Prior to joining Populous in 2015, he worked for a small architectural firm where he was able to experience a wide variety of projects ranging from small-scale retail to the master planning of hybrid development sites.

Nick’s role at Populous allows him to intertwine his interests within the architectural realm with his passion for sports. He is particularly interested in experiential environments and motivated by the challenge of identifying practical problems of human interaction and designing public space, which is capable of producing psychological and emotional effects on the user.
