Melbourne and Olympic Parks Master Plan

Populous, in conjunction with COX, was commissioned by the Victorian Government for the strategic master plan of Melbourne and Olympic Parks for the Australian Open.
The master plan and associated business case looked at the long-term security of the Australian Open as one of four Grand Slams. This policy is in keeping with the Victorian State Governments objective of maintaining Melbourne as the premier sporting city in Australia and one of the leading global event cities.
Following the successful masterplan, Populous (in association with NH Architecture), was selected for the design of the Margaret Court Arena upgrade.
