We are aware of some recruitment fraud scams being conducted by individuals or organizations claiming to represent Populous.  Recruitment fraud is a sophisticated crime offering fictitious job opportunities.  This type of fraud tends to occur through online services including bogus websites, social media accounts, online job boards, text messages, emails and online instant messaging interviews claiming to be from Populous.  Victims may receive messages requesting them to provide personal information and, ultimately, sensitive financial information.  Fraudulent documents may appear legitimate and may include a job description, salary, and/or details about benefits packages.  After extending a fictitious offer, these individuals often ask for payments for various items.

Populous will never ask prospective employees for direct payments for anything, and candidates should not send money at any time to a Populous recruiter.  Populous will never ask potential candidates to provide sensitive financial information during the recruitment process.  Open positions with Populous are posted on our careers website.  A job opening described in an email or website that does not also appear on, or ultimately directed back to, https://populous.com/careers is not legitimate.

If you are asked for personal, financial or security information, or if you receive unsolicited offers of employment by someone representing themselves from Populous, please consider such requests as recruitment fraud activity.  If you believe you are the victim of any fraudulent activity, we advise you to contact your appropriate authorities.  If you suspect that you have been contacted by someone falsely representing Populous, please email us at info@populous.com.
