Charlie Fordham
Charlie is a Principal with over 17 years of experience at Populous and serves as the firm’s in-country lead in Germany, working on MUCcc Arena, an exciting new music venue in Freising, while also leading business development in the region.
Since joining the company, he has worked on notable stadium projects, including the London Olympic Stadium (now home to West Ham United), the Groupama Stadium in Lyon, France, and Manchester City’s Etihad Stadium—first with the South Stand extension and Tunnel Club in 2016, and then with the recently announced North Stand extension, fan village, and hotel and leisure complex. He is also the lead for Populous’ ongoing work with Chelsea FC on their training centre.
Charlie has a passion for motorsports and over 15 years of experience in the field. He was heavily involved in all aspects of the multi-phased Silverstone redevelopment, playing an integral part in the design and delivery of the main pit building.
