Chris Saxby

Chris has 25 years of experience in marketing, communications and business development, in particular within the built environment and infrastructure sectors. His focus on campaign-based omni-channel marketing engages the communities in which we work and promotes the human-centric understanding of the visitors, fans and employees who patronize our projects.
Based between Australia and Singapore, Chris is part of Populous’ APAC business development, marketing and communications team where he helps shape experiences that amplify the joy felt in shared human moments; interpreting what this means through multi-channel content, thought leadership and key messaging.
A promoter of ongoing professional development, Chris is a certified Strategic Communication Management Professional with the International Association of Business Communicators, a Director on the organisation’s APAC Board, and Chair of the Global IABC International Foundation Grant Selection Task Force, which awards scholarships to communications students in financial need.
Starting out as a journalist in the UK, he moved into corporate communications in Australia before taking on broader business development and marketing roles across the Asia Pacific. Keeping the professional services industry engaging and exciting and applying non-traditional marketing and communications techniques more familiar with the business to consumer sector is what he is passionate about.
Chris is an advocate for inclusivity in sport. He was previously a Board member of the largest Masters Swimming Association-affiliated club in Australia and participates in Masters swimming competitions globally.
