Jeff Keas

With over a quarter century of event work focused on designing, planning and executing buildings and events for the world’s stage, Jeff Keas has defined event design at Populous. Jeff’s belief that culture and community are the impetus for good design has informed his work on over ten Olympic & Paralympic Games and three FIFA World Cups.

Jeff’s expertise lies in strategic advisement throughout the duration of global events. His work with host cities and clients allows them to understand the future legacy of venues built for global events — a key shift in event design planning that has created a safer, more sustainable framework for event design in the larger context of an urban area.

Throughout his career, Jeff has approached his design of each project and event in a way that is authentic to its community and its time. From the Olympics & Paralympics to FIFA World Cup to the Cricket World Cup, Jeff can translate the largest events in the world into personalized, dynamic experiences that benefit local host communities.

Jeff places great importance on continued relationships with clients, always viewing design through the lens of the client’s need. He begins his design process through asking questions — a lot of questions — and allowing a client’s responses to provide a roadmap. Jeff’s wealth of experience melds seamlessly with his drive for innovation, allowing him to create trusted, long-term partnerships with every client.

A trusted leader and mentor within Populous, Jeff is a member of Populous’ America’s Regional Board and serves as the director of our event division — leading a group of over 50 event designers and managers in our Denver office. With a keen ability to create a sense of community both in his designs and working relationships, Jeff is an instrumental leader in Populous.
