Sin-Jae joined Populous in 2013 and is currently working on the transformation of the London Olympic Stadium. Since joining the company Sin-Jae has been working on design of the podium level of the Olympic Stadium, external works of the wider site and has been involved in the BIM development of this project.

Sin-Jae has studied and worked in Germany, the United Arab Emirates and the UK, and has worked in several architectural sectors such as public, residential and healthcare. Her experience covers many areas, from conceptual design and detail design, to construction, the coordination of art strategy, and the specification of materials. Through the delivery of these complex projects Sin-Jae has gained invaluable experience in architecture.

While working for Steffian Bradley Architects for almost two years Sin-Jae gained advanced knowledge of Autodesk Revit and is therefore proficient in BIM. Her attention to detail and problem-solving skills ensure that every project she works on is done accurately and to the highest possible standard. She is flexible and works well under pressure.

Sin-Jae grew up with a diverse background, combining a mixture of Korean tradition and German everyday life; as a result she is fluent in German, Korean and English. Her interest in travelling, working and living abroad led her to Dubai for her diploma project. During her studies Sin-Jae found herself interested in infrastructure projects such as airports and stadia which led to her participating in, and winning, several competitions in Germany and the UAE, such as the ‘Lufthansa Future Gate’ competition in 2010. Through her Diploma she designed a terminal in co-operation with the local airport authority in Dubai. Her research studies, which looked at movement streams in different environments, have been published in the UAE and Germany. Throughout her thesis Sin-Jae developed a keen interest in 3D printing, which she has been able to use while working in London.
