François Clément studied architecture at the Istituto Universitario di Architettura di Venezia in Italy for three years after completing a diploma of basic architecture studies (D.E.F.A. degree) at the Ecole Nationale Supérieure d’Architecture de Marseille-Luminy in France.

François Clément is a regular speaker at many conferences dedicated to sporting events: the 2008 ‘Conférence Stades: de la conception à l’exploitation’ in Paris, the 2010 ‘Construction de Stades Nouvelle Génération’ conference in Dublin, the 2011 ‘Rugby Expo’ in Twickenham, and the 2013 ‘Stadium Business Design & Development Summit’ in Nice.
