Architect, Principal / Kansas City
Geoff serves as a lead project designer and architect at Populous, having experience in both sports venue design and sports event management. Since joining Populous in 2007, Geoff has helped design facilities and experiences for North America’s top professional sports leagues including the National Hockey League, the National Football League, Major League Baseball and Major League Soccer. Most recently, Geoff was a designer for T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, PNC Park Renovations in Pittsburgh and Centre Vidéotron in Quebec City. He also held the role of lead project designer for the Climate Change Arena in Seattle.
Also specializing in event overlay design, Geoff helps create unforgettable experiences for North America’s premiere sporting events. His role includes the conception, design, and on-site management during events like the NHL Heritage Classic and NFL Super Bowl. Geoff’s design philosophy focuses on generating tailored solutions for each individual client, and always striving to create the next innovation in sports venue design and experiential hospitality. He values an understanding of each project’s priorities including design, budget, schedule and revenue goals, in order to fulfill client expectations.
A native of Vancouver, Canada, Geoff expresses his passion for sports and ice hockey both in and out of the office. He continues to lace up his skates every week as a member of the Kansas City men’s hockey community.
