Nick Fitzgerald
Associate Principal, Senior Architectural Designer / Brisbane
Nick studied for a Bachelor of Design at the Queensland University of Technology (QUT) in Australia. Prior to joining Populous in 2015, he worked for a small architectural firm where he was able to experience a wide variety of projects ranging from small-scale retail to the master planning of hybrid development sites.
Nick’s role at Populous allows him to intertwine his interests within the architectural realm with his passion for sports. He was involved in the planning submission of Tottenham Hotspur Stadium and the construction of the seating bowl and revolutionary retractable pitch system, providing a home for both UK and NFL football.
He is particularly interested in experiential environments and motivated by the challenge of identifying practical problems of human interaction and designing public space, which is capable of producing psychological and emotional effects on the user.
