New Prince Chichibu Memorial Rugby Stadium

The design introduces Universal Design Principles and responds to the diversifying needs for the future of the game in Japan.

For this purpose, the new stadium’s design includes an all-weather international standard rugby field and a flexible seating capacity for over 15,000 for rugby competitions, increasing to over 20,000 in event mode.

The design focuses on the next generation, creating a new place for rugby union fans to gather, interact and visit time and again.

One of the key aims of the New Prince Chichibu Memorial Rugby Stadium is to broaden the base of rugby and attract new fans. To achieve this, the venue is being designed to offer a wide variety of distinctive seating and viewing options. There will be box seats where families can watch the game together, and a Field Bar behind the goal where you can get up close to the players and experience the action from their perspective as close to the action as possible.

The North Stand behind the goal will feature a Sky Lounge overlooking the stadium from a height of 30 meters. The Rugby Tower in the corner of the Stand will offer a bird’s-eye view of the entire stadium from a 45-degree angle, and will include private rooms with viewing seats, providing a new and unprecedented game day experience.

Hospitality will be elevated with plans to develop a VIP Lounge that will provide the highest quality food and beverages for guests.

The stadium design provides fans with a diverse range of experiences, allowing spectators to feel a sense of unity with their teams in an immersive viewing environment.
