David Dewees

David Dewees brings a unique perspective to architecture, shaped by an unconventional path into the profession. David spent a decade working in construction before returning to school to pursue architecture. This experience shaped his understanding of how buildings come together in the field, and simultaneously reinforced his interest in the relationship between people and the built environment.

Today, David applies that hands-on perspective to complex projects of every scale, helping bridge the gap between design vision and built reality. Working closely with clients, consultants and contractors, he brings clarity, coordination and a strong on-site presence to each phase of the process—keeping teams aligned, resolving challenges and advancing projects with purpose from concept through construction.  

David understands that great architecture creates a lasting presence—shaping not only how spaces look, but how people experience, navigate and connect within them. His design approach is rooted in creating environments that feel intuitive, purposeful and memorable.
