University of Minnesota Huntington Bank Stadium

Minneapolis, Minnesota, United States

In September 2009, Golden Gopher fans were able to watch a football game on the University of Minnesota campus for the first time in nearly 30 years. The new stadium was just the sixth on-campus football stadium with more than 50,000 seats to be built in the past 50 years and was also one of the largest facility projects in all of collegiate sports. We were afforded the opportunity to design a stadium that not only brought the football team home, but also created new revenue for the university and established a 20,000-square-foot, first-rate facility for its marching band as well.
