Anaheim Convention Center

In 2013, the design-build team of Populous and Turner Construction was selected to deliver a $155-million expansion of the Anaheim Convention Center. Our innovative solution was comprised of two 100,000-square-foot levels of highly flexible and naturally lit multipurpose space. The expansion was delivered in two phases, planning for a seamless integration with minimal impact on existing operations. The convention center is one of the biggest on the United States’ West Coast and had undergone six expansions since opening in 1967, each one in response to an evolving marketplace. This project represented its seventh and most transformative update yet.
