Synovus Park 

In 2023, the City of Columbus and Diamond Baseball Holdings partnered to restore professional baseball to the region. On Opening Day 2025, the Columbus Clingstones, Double-A affiliate of the Atlanta Braves, took the field at the newly transformed Synovus Park.

The redesign honors the storied past while delivering a modern baseball experience. At the entrance, the Legacy Gateway — three massive, original brick arches — stands as both a tribute and a threshold. Integrated imagery celebrates the park’s Olympic legacy and deep community roots. The restored red brick façade, original seating bowl, and preserved dugouts anchor the park in its historic fabric, while outdated structures were removed or concealed to create a more cohesive, authentic venue.

Layered onto this preserved framework are enhancements designed to meet the latest Minor League Baseball standards. Fan-facing, curated upgrades include new seating, premium clubs, suites, group zones, and a dedicated kids’ area — all supported by a state-of-the-art kitchen and elevated concessions. A high-resolution video board, ribbon displays, and upgraded sound systems bring big league energy to every game.

For players, the park now features updated clubhouses, training and rehab areas, and development facilities built to MiLB specifications. These improvements not only elevate the quality of play but also support the journey from Minor League to Major Leagues.

At 275,000 square feet and a flexible capacity of 5,000 to 7,000, Synovus Park was designed as a year-round asset as its adaptability supports concerts, community events, weddings, and conferences — extending its value far beyond the season.
