The O2 Arena Concourses

Ten years after setting the benchmark for arena design and experience, AEG asked Populous to return to The O2 Arena to re-design the concourse experience, creating a new 360-degree concourse experience for fans and visitors, as well as increasing revenue and providing new opportunities for the O2 brand.

Rather than simply a transit space between the bowl and the outer ring of the iconic arena, Populous undertook to reimagine the space as a conduit of the live event experience, bringing the atmosphere and excitement out of the arena, and into the concourse. Just a few months after completion, the wayfinding approach has already been tested by hundreds of thousands of people, at the world’s most successful entertainment arena. The complete wayfinding experience is useful, usable, and beautifully delivered.
